Flight Expert Explains Why You Should Never Wear Leggings On A Plane

This warning is a matter of safety - so you might want to listen up for this one.

Well, we all want to feel cozy in our clothes. However, one aviation expert named Christine Negroni divulged to The Sun that leggings are not warranted for flying.

“You might have to escape through a cabin fire or there could be a separate fire on the ground once you leave the aircraft,” she shared.

“Everyone is wearing yoga pants on planes now, but I avoid all artificial fibers because they are more likely to burn and stick to you if there is a fire,” Christine went on. “I’d advise wearing cotton clothes or anything made of natural fibers.”

Christine also advised people to stop removing their shoes during a flight, explaining: “If you escape an aircraft, the floor could be very hot or cold, it might be covered in oil or on fire, or in a cornfield – you won’t want to be barefoot.

“Mainly err on the side of caution. Pick sneakers over high heels, pick natural fibers over synthetic, and take tight-fitting clothes over loose-fitting,” she concluded.

While another airline steward is encouraging passengers to avoid wearing shorts.

In a viral TikTok video, he explained: “Don’t or try not to wear shorts when you’re on an airplane.

“It’s the same thing as the window, you never know how clean it’s gonna be, so if you have pants, you’re gonna have less germs.”

Well, it’s best to take their advice.
