Former President Donald Trump has taken a jab at Taylor Swift after the pop star was met with boos during the Super Bowl.

Super Bowl LIX turned into a night to remember as the Philadelphia Eagles secured a dominant 40-22 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs in New Orleans.

Swift, who was in attendance to support her boyfriend Travis Kelce, witnessed the Chiefs fall short of claiming their third consecutive championship.

At one point, cameras zoomed in on the singer, and as her image appeared on the massive screen at Caesars Superdome, a noticeable wave of jeers erupted from sections of the 75,000-strong crowd.

The “Shake It Off” singer, seemingly caught off guard, was seen mouthing “What is going on?” to her friend and rapper Ice Spice, who was watching the game alongside her.

Trump, who was also at the stadium for the NFL’s biggest night, later reacted to the moment on Truth Social.

“The only one that had a tougher night than the Kansas City Chiefs was Taylor Swift. She got BOOED out of the Stadium. MAGA is very unforgiving!” he wrote.

The former president also shared a clip of himself at the game and reposted a message from the ‘Libs of TikTok’ account, which claimed that the “world is healing” as Trump received cheers while Swift was met with jeers.

Why was Taylor Swift booed at the Super Bowl?

Although the president has shared his perspective, numerous celebrities and fans have flocked to Twitter in support of Swift.

“I love you @taylorswift13 dont listen to those booo!!” former tennis champion Serena Williams posted on the platform.

As the event unfolded in New Orleans on Sunday (February 9), hundreds of users joined the conversation, reacting to her message.

One fan remarked, “Eagles fans are booing her. She’s originally from Philly area but obviously rooting for Travis and Chiefs.”

Another user chimed in, saying, “The booos are from Eagles fans aka the opposite team she supports this is normal.”

Meanwhile, a third person called out the backlash, writing, “Grown a men booing Taylor Swift seriously get a grip.”**

Trump’s latest remarks on Truth Social shouldn’t come as a shock, given his past history with the pop star.

During his presidential campaign last year, he made his feelings clear with a blunt post: “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!”

His comment came after Swift encouraged her fans to vote however they chose while also making it known that she’d be casting her ballot for Democratic candidate Kamala Harris.
