It was built in 2013, stands at 675 feet tall, and houses approximately 20,000 residents. The building has an S-shape and either 36 or 39 floors, depending on the side. It is one of the most densely populated areas globally, with many residents living together under one roof.
The Regent International has over 30 floors with various amenities like restaurants, pools, and nail salons. It even has grocery stores and internet cafes. Everything you need can be found inside this “dystopian apartment”.
Many residents may never leave their homes again, which raises the question of whether they will miss out on fresh air and sunlight. However, it’s important to note that the residents are not compelled to stay indoors or live in a “dystopian apartment.” In fact, the majority of residents are young professionals, influencers, or college students who find living in an S-shaped building cost-effective and convenient.
